IOSH Working Safely

This two-day course leads to a nationally recognised qualification for staff who undertake health and safety visits to work experience and vocational placements. The course is delivered by an accredited external provider who is experienced in delivering health and safety training.

During the course participants gain a basic knowledge of the legislation relating to health and safety at work. They look at several topics including risk assessments and commonly occuring hazards in a wide range of occupational settings. On the second day of the course, participants sit the examination which leads to the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) certificate, 'Working Safely'.
