Stay Safe on Work Experience

This is a lively and interactive session for pupils who are going on work experience for the first time. The aim is to introduce them to health and safety at work and to ensure that they are aware of the care they need to take to stay safe on work experience. Through this provision pupils will:

Be better prepared for their work experience;

Be able to assess, undertake and manage risk, and make decisions in conditions of uncertainty;

Give examples of employers' and employees' rights and responsibilities at work, particularly in relation to health and safety;

Describe the main hazards associated with particular types of workplace environments.
