BELS Awarded Matrix Standard Accreditation
On 17 November 2011 BELS achieved the Matrix Standard Accreditation following a first time assessment that took place over two days. BELS is now a Matrix Standard Accredited organisation.
The Matrix Standard is the unique quality standard for organisations to assess and measure their advice and support services, which ultimately supports individuals in their choice of career. The Standard, which is challenging and outcome based, is not only a benchmark of the quality of the services an organisation provides, but a key business improvement tool.
Over the course of two days, a Matrix Standard Assessor interviewed all of BELS’ staff, a BELS’ Job Coach volunteer and 10 young people supported by BELS. The assessment included the observation of one to one information, advice and guidance sessions with young people and interviews with BELS’ partners. The assessment also involved a review of our processes and procedures, together with an assessment of the relevant paperwork.
