Christine Yau came over from Hong Kong in 1985, established the Yming Restaurant in 1986 and founded the Chinese Chef School at Westminster College in 1999. her cookery book aimed at the student market has just been launched. Christine devotes a lot of time to community development; winning the Metropolitan Volunteer Award for the Westminster Area and the Top 10 Pan London Award in 2002. Christine is also the Chairman of the London Chinese Community Centre, and the Vice President of the London Chinatown Chinese Association.
