Award-winning film and TV Producer and Diversity Consultant, Parminder received an OBE for her services to the broadcasting and film industry in 2002. She is an inspiring communicator with a unique understanding of culturally diverse talent, audiences and markets. As board member, policy advisor, consultant and patron to a number of publicly funded media, arts and skills training organisations she has set the agenda for reflecting multicultural Britain and diversity on and behind the screen. Working in partnership with UK broadcasters she was the driving force behind the formation of Cultural network (CDN), an industry-wide initiative to pursue common objectives, share resources and good practice. Parminder has produced an outstanding range of award-winning films including her first feature film Babymother, Algeria Woman at War, The Sex Warriors and The Samurai and two series of Developing Stories, Our War, directed by filmmakers from the South. Parminder began her career in Arts Administration, responsible for funding, programming and policy development.
