Winner of ‘Young Achiever of the Year Award’ at the Government’s Leadership and Diversity Awards, Shazia Mirza trained at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London and works full-time as a writer, actor and stand-up comedian. Her career in television has included writing and presenting several popular shows for Channel Four and the BBC. She is in huge international demand and in 2003 performed her own sell-out shows across Europe. In the USA she was recently profiled on CBS 260 Minutes2 and Oprah Winfrey’s Oxygen Channel. Shazia also played Saddam Hussein’s wife in the off-Broadway production of ‘The Ruler of Saddam’ and she is planning to take her film career further. In 2005 Shazia will be performing a new show and tour of Pakistan, Australia, USA, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
