Sutton has had a strong commitment to schools and Business Links for many years. These links have fostered opportunities for both teachers and young people to develop mutually advantageous links and partnerships with a variety of businesses. These links have enhanced curriculum and classroom practice whilst ensuring that local businesses are aware of curriculum changes in order to best support local schools.
Since September 2004 all secondary schools have to offer a programme of work-related learning and enterprise for students at Key Stage 4 and 5 (14-19) to provide students with the opportunities to develop their knowledge, understanding and experience of the world of work and enterprise. Sutton EBP has a significant role to play in the borough in ensuring that these opportunities are available, appropriate and continue to meet the changing needs of its young people and businesses.
