Mick Johns
Chair
Mick Johns, BELS' Chair and a member of the Finance Committee, has been a Trustee of BELS since 2009. He is also a governor of two schools in the Croydon area.
Mick, who is married with two grown up children, has lived in the Croydon area for most of his life. He was an Independent Financial Adviser before retiring in 2010 and for much of his working life held senior management and board positions within the Financial Services industry. At the same time, he always retained his personal client contact.
Mick's management and client contact roles have enabled him to develop skills in many areas which are of assistance to BELS. These skills include sales management, chairing and managing meetings, staff development, financial management, trusteeship, training and presentation skills. These various roles have always very much been focused on income generation and client relationships and also have had to encompass compliance and regulatory management.
