Mick Johns is 57 years old, married and he has 2 grown up children. He has lived in the Croydon area for most of his life and was an Independent Financial Adviser before retiring in 2010.

For a significant proportion of his working life, Mick held senior management and board positions within the Financial Services industry. At the same time, he always retained his personal client contact. The management and client contact roles have enabled Mick to develop skills in many areas which are of assistance to BELS. These skills include sales management, chairing and managing meetings, staff development, financial management, trusteeship, training and presentation skills. These various roles have always very much been focused on income generation and client relationships and also have had to encompass compliance and regulatory management.

In addition, Mick is a governor of 2 schools in the Croydon area.
