Sue Sarkar

Trustee

Sue Sarkar is an Education Manager and has worked in the Further and Higher Education sectors for the past eight years. Prior to that Sue worked in the Offshore Engineering industry.

Sue currently works on a consultancy basis and was most recently based at Bradford College where she was tasked with improving an at risk and poorly performing department with 63 members of staff. Within four months, Ofsted acknowledged that the department had “turned a corner”. Previous to that Sue deputised for the Vice Principal of Croydon College. Sue’s areas of expertise include project management and the raising of standards of teaching and learning.

Sue holds a First Class honours degree in Mathematics, an MSc in Cognitive Science and a teaching qualification. Sue joined BELS as a Trustee in 2010.
