Young Enterprise London is a registered charity and is part of the national Young Enterprise network and the international Junior Achievement led by business to help promote entrepreneurship in our schools.
Young Enterprise provides a way for business to influence education around the world of work and facilitates positive role models in our classrooms in the forms of volunteers who deliver programmes in partnership with teachers.
With-in the changing enterprise education environment it is agreed that significant growth in the number of young people benefiting from experimental learning about enterprise and entrepreneurship is needed. Government funded initiatives have been driven by a number of reports and studies, particularly the Howard Davies Review of Enterprise Education and the work-related learning agenda.
Young Enterprise London has a role to play in contributing to the development of an enterprise culture. We have developed an ambitious five year strategic plan which sets out exactly what we can do. By engaging private sector support we plan to provide the opportunity to 100,000 young people per year to participate in enterprise and entrepreneurship experiences by 2008.
