Barnet Leads London in Gold Travel for Life Accreditations

Barnet’s schools lead the way in promoting active and sustainable travel, with 59 currently holding the gold TfL Travel for Life accreditation – the most of all London Boroughs.

In total, 96 schools have submitted their travel plan for 2025, with:

• 59 gaining gold accreditation

• 12 silver

• 25 bronze

  
  

The Highways Safe & Sustainable team works closely with schools and the team recently assisted 49 schools in submitting new/renewal travel plans for 2025 accreditations.

This reflects the council’s commitment to promoting safer, healthier and more sustainable travel for young Londoners.
