On Friday 12 September our Director of Education and Learning, Neil Marlow, was honoured to attend the Fifth Annual Service of Commemoration for Dutch War Dead at Westminster/Mill Hill Cemetery (pictured here with The Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Barnet, Martin Russell MBE). Also in attendance were other dignitaries including The Worshipful The Mayor of Barnet Councillor Danny Rich, councillors, Rev Josh Kane and the Defence and Naval Attache of the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands, Capt Rick Ongering.
Children from five local schools, including Dollis Primary, St. Vincent’s Catholic Primary and Copthall Secondary School laid down orange carnations on the graves of the Dutch war dead in a very moving ceremony.
