Barnet has invested in the National Network of Parent Champions, which aims to support the most vulnerable and disadvantaged parents and families in the borough.
It is a peer-to-peer (parent-to-parent) programme based on sign-posting other parents to local education and welfare services, such as libraries, nurseries and children centres, as well as other services schools may want to promote. Parent Champions receive their own training and support throughout.
Susie Lanyado Averbrook (susie.la@outlook.com) can offer twilight sessions to staff teams or Senior leaders interested in joining the already existing Barnet East/Central, Barnet South/West or Colindale Primary School Parent Champions.
