Business & Education London South (BELS) exists to advance the education and training of young people and adults, mainly, but not exclusively, in South London. In its activities BELS pays particular regard to the development of commercial and business skills, so that the region’s young people will be better prepared to proceed to further education or employment appropriate to their potential. BELS will achieve this by:

Promoting and encouraging education business links to better enable young people to access employment;
Working with schools and colleges to enhance the aspirations and improve the employment opportunities of young people;
Examining both the labour market and the adequacy of existing education and training opportunities to identify key skill needs and other requirements for increasing employment opportunities;
Devising, implementing and monitoring training and work experience programmes and opportunities.
